Published: October 3, 2017

The final season of hit American television series Scandal is fast approaching and we can’t wait! The seventh season will introduce a new character named President Rashad who will be played by, none other than, Faran Tahir.

He may not be considered a household name yet but he is definitely familiar to millions around the world. You may recognise Faran as Raza in Iron Man (2008) or Captain Robau in Star Trek (2009).

The international artist has been a Hollywood insider for over 25 years now and has guest starred in many TV series and films. His debut appearance was in Disney’s The Jungle Book in 1994 as Mowgli’s father.

Although the promos for the newest season are out, information regarding the storyline and Faran’s character have been kept under wraps for now.

The Pakistani-American Hollywood actor seems to have a lot up his sleeve this year as alongside Scandal; Faran has been busy shooting for three other projects. He will soon be seen in the television series Shameless and The Magicians, as well as the movie Mindhack: #savetheworld.
